“Sustainability is the starting point in everything we do.”
Local production

All our garments are locally produced in Gothenburg, Sweden. The fabrics are woven in Borås, less than an hour away. With the sole exception of superior-quality fasteners (bluesign-produced zippers and buckles), we only use materials that are produced nearby. Our radical reduction/elimination of transports means much lower CO² emissions and less negative impact on the planet. Local production also permits us to better assess the different aspects of sustainability as we control our value chains.
Sustainable materials
Performing garments need performing materials and our ambition is to constantly stay on top of materials that both serve their purpose and are best for our planet and its life. Sustainability is an ongoing work process and factors we look at in our evaluations include what fiber the material is made of, where it comes from and how it is derived, water- and energy use, work conditions, how the material is processed, handled, transported, possible finishes that have been added, how it has been dyed and how it can be recycled. Our packaging and tags are made of 100% recycled fibers and are 100% recyclable as we use paper tape with natural rubber glue. Led by material innovation and science, we encourage ourselves as well as other actors in the fashion world – including consumers – to make change for the climate now.
Long-lasting quality and design
WE RUN designs and produces for sustainability. Sustainability is essentially our raison d’être as our company started out with the challenge of making the most sustainable activewear on the market. This remains our objective. Our apparel is developed to be useful, functional and long-lasting. We use high-quality materials that provide durability and colors that are likely to withstand fashion swings. In product development, we pay much attention to fit and function in hopes our garments will stay your favorites for many years.
We are in times where clothing is being reevaluated. Besides engaging in sustainable near-production, WE RUN attempts to offer a high number of usages per garment. We believe key for sustainable apparel consumption is to focus on fewer but better-quality products with good fit, functionality and recyclability.
